MAN POURS ACID ON GIRLFRIEND AFTER PASTOR TOLD HIM SHE WAS BEHIND HIS ILLNESS

22-year-old Ghanaian lady identified as Anita Otema (pictured above) has lost her left eye and parts of her body badly disfigured after her ex-boyfriend attacked her with acid at her Abeka Lapaz residence in Ghana following his pastor's revelation that she was behind his constant ill-health.

Narrating what happened to Ghana's Joyfm, Anita said her 28 year old ex-boyfriend Kwabena Fosu popularly known as Abodeman attacked her in the night at their home with the corrosive substance after his pastor accused her of being behind his recurring ill-health and told him she (Anita) was making money spiritually through his illnesses.
After her boyfriend was told this by the Pastor, he stormed their house where they both lived as a couple and poured the acid on her. He has been on the run since the incident.

TRAGIC: SOUTH AFRICAN FOOTBALLER, RICHARD HENYEKANE DIES IN CAR CRASH

South African footballer Richard Henyekane died in the early hours of yesterday morning Tuesday April 7th after the car he was traveling in got involved in accident in Bethlehem, a town in central South Africa. There were four passengers in the car, only Richard died. He was 31 years old. 

The late footballer played for the country's national team, Bafana Bafana and was signed to Free State Stars before his passing.

Just five months ago, Richard's younger brother Joseph Henyekane, also a professional footballer, died in December 2014. He was just 30 years old. May their souls rest in peace...amen.

A 28-year-old man, Amish Kansagra, has been arrested and charged for attempted murder after stabbing his 35-year-old girlfriend, Anna Improrowicz, because a man smiled at her at the at a club.

The Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court in the United Kingdom, heard that Kansagra was jealous of the attention Imporowicz received from other men and had warned her several times not to encourage the men who flirted with her.

The day before the attempted murder, Kansagra became angry when a man smiled at Imporowicz in a club.

When the couple got back to their apartment on Clitherow Road in Brentford, he tried to slit her throat.

MAN WITH EARPHONES PLUGGED IN KILLED BY A TRAIN IN LAGOS

An unidentified young man with earphone on, was on Wednesday killed by a passenger train at Cappa area of Oshodi, Lagos.

A correspondent of NAN who was inside the train reports that the man was standing on the rail track oblivious of the fast approaching train.

The NAN correspondent reports that the Ogun-Lagos-bound mass transit train was leaving its Oshodi station to Mushin when the accident occurred.
The train had as usual, sounded its horn repeatedly as it was approaching the railway crossing at Ilupeju Bye-pass for clearance of its track.

In a bid to dowse speculations in some quarters that the missing Chibok girls have been killed following the recent recapture of most of the strong territories Boko Haram occupied with no sign of the girls, the Federal Government has come out to state that the girls are still alive and that hopes for their rescue must be kept alive.

At a press conference in Abuja today April 8th, the Coordinator of National Information Centre (NIC), Mr Mike Omeri, said that hopes for the rescue of the Chibok girls is still high and that until the military concludes the recapture of all lost territories from Boko Haram, speculations of their death would not be entertained

Unbelievable! The video of this shooting is so shocking. And all this happened because of a broken tail light. The moment a white police officer in North Charleston, South Carolina shot a fleeing unarmed black man five times in the back then handcuffed his lifeless body after he crumpled on the ground has been captured on tape. The video, shot by a pedestrian, was sent to the New York Times.

Police officer Michael Slager, 33, opened fire on father-of-four Walter Scott, 50, on Saturday morning April 4th after stopping him over a broken tail light. The police officer was arrested yesterday April 7th after the video was seen by police. He had initially claimed he shot Scott because he feared for his life, but the video shows Scott actually fleeing from him. The officer shot 8 times, three missed Scott, a Coast Guard veteran. The lady on my DP goes by the name Esther Aniefiok (from Akwa-Ibom). She was our housemaid until the (6th April) when she broke into our bedroom while we were out as a family between 12:30 and 6:30pm. She stole a lot of our valuables totaling a large amount of money. The items stolen include gold jewelries, wrist watches, shoes, clothing items and about N100,000 cash. Her agent was arrested, but released to a verified guarantor as he promised to report back to the ifako Gbagada police station on Friday, 10th of April with the Lady. TRAGIC; 14 YEARS OLD BOY KILLED FOR REFUSING TO JOIN CULT

A 14 year old boy identified as David Okon has been stabbed to death by members of a Cross Rivers state based cult group named Skylo after he refused to join the cult group. According to Mr Henry Fadairo, the state Police commissioner who spoke to the Sun, David was stabbed to death by one Ita in the group at T junction, Ikot Ekpo, 8 Miles in Calabar, the state capital on February 4th. 

 

Ita and some of his cult members had accosted David with the intent of luring him once again after they had tried for several months and his refusal caused them to stab him to death. The police investigations led to the arrest of some members of the cult group pictured above. They are Okon, 15-years old, Effiong, 18-years Etim, 18-years and Ekpo 15-years old.

SOLDIERS AND CIVILLIANS KILLED AS BOKO HARAM ATTACKS NEW MARTE IN BORNO

Many soldiers and civilians are feared dead after Boko Haram members struck New Marte community in Borno state yesterday April 7th.

According to Sahara Reporters, a security officer revealed that the armed sect members arrived the community in cars and sports utility vehicles, attacked a military base in the community, and killed many soldiers and civilian.
